However you view credit cards, it’s hard to live in the modern world without one. And if you have one, you owe it to yourself to use it properly.

However you view credit cards, it’s hard to live in the modern world without one. And if you have one, you owe it to yourself to use it properly. Credit cards are one of the building blocks of personal finance. Not merely plastic debt traps, they could save you hundreds of pounds a year in interest payments.
Of course, they can allow you to pile up debts that you have difficulty paying off. But they can also let you spend next month's salary today.
Using them successfully takes discipline and a little self-control, but once you realise your debt is someone else’s profit margin, your approach to your plastic will change.
With a bit of discipline and some savvy, you can make your cards work for you, rather than the other way round.
